General FAQs

  • Yes. We have beautiful gardens with a charming barn that was built in 1910. Ceremonies may be brought inside if rain is forecasted and you have the option to dine and dance indoors or out.

  • See our transparent pricing here. We include all fees and taxes into our pricing. We do not charge additional venue or service fees. Yolo County 7.25% tax is included in all our pricing, it is not additional.

  • No. Silt Wine Company pays the 7.25% Yolo County tax.

  • You want to make sure you actual ceremony time is listed on the invitation. Your guests will start arriving naturally 30 minutes prior to your ceremony time. If you are concerned that your guests would be late, on your invitation write that your ceremony will start promptly at _____.

  • 250 for outdoor dining & indoor or outdoor dancing (not recommended for rainy months)

  • We are a private venue. Tours are required and may be scheduled here.

  • Your total budget will likely be between $20,000 and $45,000+. Total budget would include your wedding venue, all vendors, bar, dress, and all other desired items/décor. It’s YOUR wedding day, so make it uniquely yours.

  • We all love to celebrate! It is impossible to clean up every piece of confetti or faux petal. The Delta Breeze that we love will blow them away in no time, so confetti, rice and faux petals are a NO. We do welcome real or dried petals to be thrown.

  • As a winery we serve wine & beer at events. Hard alcohol is not allowed on the premises, but being so close to Downtown Sacramento couples often love to meet for an after party following their reception.

  • There is a beverage package minimum for 100 guests @ $25.00 per person on Friday’s & Saturday’s. Sunday Celebration beverage packages are on a per person basis without a minimum. See all transparent pricing here.

  • We require preferred catering and DJ/MC. See all your amazing vendors options here. Other vendors outside of catering and DJ/MC are welcome!

  • We often recommend the Embassy Suites on the Sacramento River. It is 10 miles from Silt Wine Company and a straight shot down Jefferson Blvd. to Downtown Sacramento. Very easy access. We have some other great options listed here.

    There are also come great local AirBnB options located in and around the Clarksburg Area.

  • If it rains or other climatic weather moves in, we have our Plan B! We have flexibility to move your ceremony, dining & dancing indoors.

  • Friday & Saturday, 2pm arrival

    Just envision sitting back on your wedding morning and getting pampered!

    Let us do the setup for you so you can spend time with your closest friends and family! Most often couples enjoy saving the travel fee and getting their hair and makeup done in a salon where there are several professionals to work with you in a timely manor.

    On Friday & Saturday’s you’re welcome to come as early as 2pm. Use this time to take photos with your wedding party or first look with your soon to be spouse!

  • Yes. We require a $1M policy that includes alcohol. Silt Wine Company is added as additionally insured for the day. The pricing is often associated with your guest count. Most policies come through TheEventHelper.com at an average price of $125.00 for the day.

  • The tasting room closes 60-90 minutes prior to your ceremony. We like to make sure that all tasting room guests are off the property before your guests start to arrive.

Booking FAQs

  • Just shoot me an email and we can get your date secured with your signed agreement and first payment!

  • We collect your first payment at the same time as we collect your signed agreement. This secures your date! Second payment is due six months out with final payment due three weeks out.

  • Pricing does change from time to time. Your pricing will be based off the day your contract is written, not the day you toured. We understand that sometimes couples will tour venues weeks or months in advance.

  • We do not keep a cancellation list.

Catering FAQs

  • We work with some AWESOME catering companies that you may review here. Jackson Catering is featured in our vendor inclusive package.

  • You will work directly with the caterer on your food, linens, china, flatware & stemware selections. Our team will work with catering on what tables and setup they need to help execute your event.

  • We do not set any catering minimums and more importantly, do not charge vendors or take a kickback to work at Silt Wine Company.

Planning FAQs

  • Music concludes by 9:45pm and the bar closes during the last dance.

  • Yes! There will be a drop-off window the day prior so we can help to set up your decor the morning of your wedding. You are welcome to have family and friends help set up additional items or drop items off starting at 2pm.

  • Yes, as long as they are in something such as a votive or hurricane lantern. We do not allow an open flame.

  • Our event staff will reach out to you three weeks prior to your wedding for your final guest count. At that time we can make any final adjustments to your table and linen count.

  • You can go to your local county office. Silt Wine Company is in Yolo County, so just remember that when filling it out.

  • Anything that you bring needs to go home with you that evening. Our event staff will help whomever you designate. It’s best to have it go in cars and to a home or garage that the items can sit in for a week so you’re not having to worry about snagging them the next day!
